Endoscopies

Endoscopy services at Fitzgibbon Hospital provide enhanced screening, diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities for gastrointestinal disorders associated with the esophagus, stomach, and colon.  Procedures are performed on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
  • FEGD (Fiberoptic Esophagogastroduodenoscopy) - An FEGD is a test to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine.

  • Colonoscopy - A colonoscopy is a test to look at the inside of your large intestine (rectum and colon). (PLEASE NOTE:  For colorectal screenings, without symptoms or complications, your primary care physician can schedule your colonoscopy so there is no need to see a surgeon prior to your scheduled procedure.)

  • Bronchoscopy - A bronchoscopy is a procedure used to examine the airways.
