Day in the Park 2018

Perfect weather and many free activities drew an estimated 2,000 people to the beautiful Indian Foothills Park on July 22, 2018.  The event, in its third year, was a successful FUNRAISER for the entire family.

The event was kicked off by a car and motorcycle parade sponsored by Taking Shape and Shapes Dance Academy.

Activities included free admission to the Marshall Aquatic Center, a dunk tank, Little Pumper fire engine rides, face painting, rock-climbing wall, slip ‘n slide, Crank’s petting zoo, an appearance by K.C. Wolf, bounce houses and games.  The entertainment provided by local musical groups was outstanding.  The Air Evac helicopter landed in Lyon Bowl and provided a learning opportunity for younger attendees.

Non-profit organizations set up informational booths and passed out free water.  Craft and food vendors offered a wide variety of interesting and tasty items for guests to enjoy.
