Gift Acceptance Policy

The mission of Fitzgibbon Hospital is to improve the health of our community.

The role of the Fitzgibbon Hospital Foundation is to build and strengthen community relations and to seek and secure new financial resources and philanthropic leaders who will support Fitzgibbon Hospital and its mission.

Fitzgibbon Hospital solicits and accepts gifts through its Foundation Office that are consistent with its mission.  Donations will generally be accepted from individuals, partnerships, corporations, foundations, government agencies, or other entities, without limitations.  In the course of its regular fundraising activities, Fitzgibbon Hospital will accept donations of money, real property, personal property, stock, and in-kind services.  Certain types of gifts must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special liabilities they may pose for Fitzgibbon Hospital.  Fitzgibbon Hospital will seek the advice of legal counsel in matters relating to the acceptance of gifts when appropriate.

Examples of gifts which may be subject to review include:

  • Gifts requiring Fitzgibbon Hospital to assume financial or other obligations
