LITTRELL SERVES AS MHA CENTRAL DISTRICT COUNCIL PRESIDENT

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Angela Littrell, President and CEO of Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Mo., was elected to a one-year term as President of the Missouri Hospital Association’s Central District Council. Her term began Jan. 1. The first meeting will occur in March.  

As District Council President, Littrell’s responsibilities include presiding over council meetings and guiding discussions on association policies and activities. One of six MHA district council presidents, she will direct input from council members on national, state and regional health care policies to the MHA Board of Trustees.

“We are pleased to have someone with Angy’s experience assume this important role,” said Jon D. Doolittle, MHA President and CEO. “The feedback we receive from hospitals throughout the state helps shape our agenda in Jefferson City and Washington, D.C., and contributes to a better understanding of the state’s health care system.”

Littrell joined Fitzgibbon Hospital in 2014 and was selected to serve as CEO in February 2020. Before joining Fitzgibbon Hospital, she served since 1998 as Director of Physician Services at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo. She has more than 30 years of experience in health care leadership.

The Missouri Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association in Jefferson City that represents 140 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public about health care issues.
