Fitzgibbon Hospital Recognized as “Most Wired” Hospital Level 8

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), has again recognized Fitzgibbon Hospital in their most recent survey. In CHIME’s coveted Digital Health “Most Wired” Survey results for the 2022 data collection period Fitzgibbon achieved Level 8 Most Wired for the acute hospital survey selection.

Fitzgibbon is one of only eight hospitals in Missouri to attain this level. Others include Children’s Mercy, Saint Luke’s, University of Missouri, Ascension Health, North Kansas City, St. Francis, and University Health (Formerly Truman Medical Center).

“As we continue to advance our HealthIT strategy, we continue to gain more recognition with Most Wired,” said Tom Jones, Chief Information Officer for Fitzgibbon Hospital.  “We have implemented systems that monitor and protect our network from future cyber-attacks from internal and external sources and are actively working to increase access to population health analytics to improve the health of our community.”

Among the more than 38,000 organizations surveyed by CHIME, Fitzgibbon Hospital ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure and patient engagement. The survey assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in healthcare organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry-leading.
