Delta Variant Prompts Walk-in Clinics

July 19, 2021

With the Delta variant of the Covid-19 virus hitting hard in low-vaccinated communities in Missouri, Fitzgibbon Hospital and affiliated clinics are working to remove barriers for people to receive their vaccine through upcoming walk-in clinics. Appointments and pre-registration will not be required, and those seeking the vaccine are encouraged to simply walk in during the specified times.

Health experts in affect communities report that the Delta variant of Covid is causing younger people to be sickened more quickly and with more severe symptoms than what was seen last year at what was considered the virus’ peak.

Fitzgibbon Hospital encourages individuals to seek out vaccination before the virus gains a stronghold in their community. Anyone aged 12 and over can receive their Covid-19 vaccine. However, minors must be accompanied by their guardian.
