This year's program, produced by the Hospice Foundation of America, will address the topic "When Grief is Complicated." Any member of the community is welcome to attend including pastors, bereaved individuals, healthcare workers. The conference is free, but there is a charge of $35 for Continuing Education Credits if needed for professionals.
The conference will be moderated by Frank Sesno from the school of Media and Public Affairs at the George Washington University.
Panelists will include Kenneth J. Doka, PhD, MDiv, Professor of Gerontology, the Graduate School of the College of New Rochelle in New York
Robert A. Neimeyer, PhD, Proifessor of Psychology, University of Memphis and a practicing psychotherapist
Therese A. Rando, PhD, BCETS, BCBT, Clinical Psychologist, Thanatologist and Traumatologist as well as Clinical Director for The Institite for the Study and Treatment of Loss in Warwick, Rhode Island.
The Living with Grief annual teleconference is paid for by contributions to the Hospice Memorial Fund and is held annually to provide needed insight into grief and loss.
