Pearl Carrillo, D.O. joins Marshall Family Practice

July 12, 2023

Marshall Family Practice has a new provider that will be recognizable to many who have been hospitalized at Fitzgibbon Hospital, as Pearl Carrillo, D.O., has joined the staff in the clinic. Patients can see Carrillo at Marshall Family Practice, located on the southeast side of the hospital campus. She had previously worked as a hospitalist, seeing inpatients only, since 2010.

Dr. Carrillo, who did “fill in” at the clinic some months ago, is a board-certified family practice physician and will be focused on same-day appointments for Marshall Family Practice while she grows her patient base. In addition to tending to the medical needs of her families in the clinic, she also serves as the medical director for Fitzgibbon Home Health and Hospice.

Dr. Carrillo earned her Doctor of Osteopathy in 1998 from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. She had earlier earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological and Physical Science in 1991 from the University of Houston. She has a long career in medicine, starting out as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 1986.

“Dr. Carrillo has provided excellent care here for several years and is known by many of our families in our community. The transition to the clinic will be a great fit for her and for our community, as she continues to provide compassionate care. Her focus on same-day appointments also will help us increase access for those with more urgent health needs” said Angy Littrell, President and CEO of Fitzgibbon Hospital.
