The Living Center strives to deliver high-quality, holistic, evidence-based care to maximize each resident’s level of independence through the promotion of rehabilitation services, skilled nursing services, comfort care, dignity and support to all residents, and support and encouragement of family involvement throughout the resident’s stay.
Our Skilled Nursing Unit is designed for short-stay rehabilitation to prior level of care. We offer private rooms. Skilled services are provided by hospitalists in addition to our clinical nurses. The Skilled Nursing Unit was designed with the geriatric patient in mind, but patients less than 65 years of age are candidates for admission. We also work to provide for the sensitive needs of our terminally ill patients. Our mission is to provide comfort, dignity and support to all of our residents, along with the support of family involvement throughout the patient’s stay.
This level of care provides complete custom nursing care for the individual requiring moderate to total assistance with activities of daily living, such as with Parkinson’s Disease, diabetes, IV therapy, wound care and limb loss to name a few. We offer private and companion rooms to help seniors continue to live life to maximum independence. Our professional nursing staff provides assistance with feeding, dressing, bathing, incontinence, mobility, transfers and therapeutic activities. Our goal is to maintain and improve each individual’s skill level and to minimize further decline and deterioration, all in a friendly, caring, comforting environment.
Individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and/or other dementias receive assistance with activities of daily living and therapeutic activities designed to meet their unique and individualized social needs. We offer private and companion rooms to help seniors continue to live life to maximum independence. This special unit provides nursing care in a safe, secured environment allowing the individual freedom to move about the unit independently. The direct care providers are given specialized training for our residents that need special understanding. We support the role of the family to help create a true partnership in care giving.
