New Orthopedic Surgeon joins Fitzgibbon Hospital

April 25, 2016

Fitzgibbon Hospital announces the addition of Dr. Clinton Pickett, an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand surgery, who will begin seeing patients on Tuesdays, starting Jan. 26, 2016, in the Marshall Orthopedics and Sports Medicine clinic on the second floor of Fitzgibbon Hospital.

Clinton Pickett, D.O., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a special interest and training in caring for injuries and problems of the hand. He completed his fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he also performed a research fellowship in Hand Surgery.  Dr. Pickett earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Mo., and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, Pa.

"We are excited about the addition of Dr. Pickett joining our medical team.  His training and experience in general orthopedics with specialization in hand surgery adds another facet to the treatment options offered at Fitzgibbon Hospital and Marshall Orthopedic and Sports Medicine.  As we continue to focus on quality of care and access to care, orthopedics and sports medicine continues to be an emphasis for us. Dr.  Pickett is an outstanding addition to Dr. Kelly Ross, Dr. Richard White, Physician Assistant Miles Romney and Nurse Practitioner Carrie Lucas at Marshall Orthopedics and Sports Medicine," said Darin Haug, D.O., President and CEO of Fitzgibbon Hospital.

“I’m really excited to have a hand specialist working with us,” said Ross. “As a fellowship-trained hand surgeon, I think he’ll bring another added dimension to Marshall Orthopedics. I look forward to working with someone with so much experience and a great reputation. Our goal is to continue to provide and improve on the care our orthopedic team provides to our community.”
