Fitzgibbon Homemakers & More services are designed to help frail elderly and the handicapped to remain as independent as possible in their own home.

Skilled Nursing Care

We offer skilled nursing care for needs such as:
  • Diabetic nail and foot care
  • Daily or weekly medication organization
  • Prescription refills
  • Foley catheter care
  • Ostomy care
  • Assessment
  • Venipuncture
 

We also provide reports to your physician if your condition requires us to do so.

Did you know?  Fitzgibbon Homemakers and More has been a contract agency with the Department of Health and Senior Services since 1996.

Home Chore Worker

Home Chore Workers visit and assist with a wide variety of duties, including:
  • laundry
  • grocery shopping
  • housekeeping
  • meal preparation
  • and much, much more
 

Personal Care

Personal Care Representatives are available to assist you with any activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, dressing and eating.

Respite Care

One of our friendly and professional staff members will act as a companion to you in order to give your caregiver time off to run errands or to attend to personal needs.

Advanced Personal Care

Fitzgibbon Homemakers & More staff will assist with activities of daily living for persons who have complex physical needs.  

Who Qualifies?

Who qualifies and pays for Fitzgibbon Homemakers & More services?

For those who qualify, Medicaid will cover the cost of services.  Eligibility is determined by the Department of Health and Senior Services.  Grant funds may also be available through Care Connections.

The Veterans Administration and some insurance policies may also cover your expenses if homemaker services are necessary due to health reasons.

In addition, anyone in the community needing assistance or "extra help" around the house can purchase our services on a private-pay basis.  We can assist you on either a long-term or short-term basis, depending on your needs.

For your peace of mind:
  • Our caregivers are bonded, insured and fully covered by Fitzgibbon Hospital’s workers compensation benefits.

  • Background, drug and other screenings are completed for each caregiver, and a valid Missouri driver’s license is required.

  • All of our caregivers will have a photo ID with them at all times.
