Craig McCoy, D.O., board-certified gynecologist specializing in uro/gynecology, will rejoin the staff at Marshall Women’s Care on a part-time basis in October.
Dr. McCoy is no stranger to Marshall, having had a successful practice here prior to relocating to the Moberly area, where he currently serves as the Chief of Surgery at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Dr. McCoy, a Slater native, previously practiced both at Marshall Women’s Care and at his own privately-operated clinic in Marshall.
McCoy earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in June of 1992 before becoming Medical Director of Riley County Health Department in Manhattan, Kan. He practiced at Marshall Women’s Care in 2005-2006 before opening Central Missouri Women’s Healthcare in Marshall, which he operated for nine years.
The Slater High School graduate has practiced gynecology for nearly 30 years, and he earned his certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in 2014.
“Dr. McCoy will be a good addition to the staff at Marshall Women’s Care and will provide some additional capability in terms of urological/gynecological surgeries and procedures. From biopsies and tubal ligations to urinary incontinence treatment, it will be great to see him return to Marshall and re-establish relationships with his patients,” said Dennis Sousley, Vice President of Clinical Services at Fitzgibbon Hospital.
While Dr. McCoy will not be practicing obstetrics at Marshall Women’s Care, he will be seeing patients in need of general gynecological services as well as uro/gyn related health conditions.
Dr. McCoy will begin seeing patients on the first and third Fridays of each month. To schedule your appointment with Dr. McCoy at Marshall Women’s Care, inside the Fitzgibbon Medical Clinic, call (660) 886-7800.
