Marshall Women's Care

Marshall Women's Care offers services ranging from obstetrics, high-risk pregnancies, women's health care issues, infertility and gynecological surgeries. Women today deserve extra special attention when delivering a baby or obtaining health care. Every woman should expect care beyond the expectations of an everyday patient. They are located at the Professional Building on the Hospital campus and works closely with the Women's Center located inside the Hospital.

The Women's Center is an eight-bed women's health unit, consisting of four Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Post Partum suites and four private patient rooms. The unit also houses a three-bed nursery. Obstetrical services at the Women's Center consist of state-of-the-art equipment, nurses with credentials in fetal monitoring, a Certified Nurse Midwife, Doula services, and a hydro-therapy pool for pain management.

Please call for an appointment, we believe strongly in the value of your time, we will do our best to keep you from waiting longer than necessary when your appointment time arrives. If it is your first time being seen at the Clinic, please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out new-patient paperwork or you may print it from our website and bring it with you completed.. Also, to aid us in providing all of the services you need, we ask that you bring all medications (including prescriptions and over-the-counter medications) that you are currently taking along with your current insurance information, Driver's License (or other picture ID) and any office visit co-pay that your insurance requires.

Education & Qualifications:

Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota at Vermillion. He completed a residency at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics in Columbia, MO.

Dr. Smith is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

His research has been published in the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine.

Deanna Donnell, CNM, MSN

Education & Qualifications:

Ms. Donnell is a Certified Nurse Midwife practicing Obstetrics. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Sinclair School of Nursing at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO She also holds a Master's degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Midwifery.

She currently provides Nurse Midwife services in collaboration with Dr. Craig McCoy and Dr. William Smith.
