Scholarships Available through Fitzgibbon Hospital

The Missouri Hospital Association recently reported that by the year 2020, the nation's hospitals will need 434,000 more nurses than will be available to meet patient demand.

Enrollment vacancy rates in Missouri's nursing schools are holding at about 21 percent, and fewer students are entering education programs in all health care fields.

With these facts in mind, Fitzgibbon Hospital is always seeking ways to encourage participation in various health care careers. One way we do accomplish this is to offer several educational scholarship opportunities. We believe the compassionate, caring and self-motivated people needed to provide quality health care to the citizens we serve are available right in our area. By offering these scholarships, we are asking these people to prepare for a career in health care. The rewards are many.
