Rehab Center Fitzgibbon Rehabilitation Services offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and recreational therapy in a variety of settings to assist individuals in maximizing their functional potential following an injury or medical problem. Each separate discipline works on specific aspects of regaining a patient’s overall prior function. A physician’s order is necessary to receive these services: Physical Therapy Occupational Therapy Speech Therapy Recreational Therapy We service all areas of the hospital, including intensive care, acute care, ambulatory services and post surgical patients. Here we help you get back to a level that you may be physically ready to return home.
With the recent expansion and construction of a new Rehab input/output clinic, Fitzgibbon is now offering aquatic therapy on site. Our new SWIMEX 600T pool offers a diversity of low impact, high resistance aquatic therapies in both areas of occupational and physical therapy. Out staff is trained in the latest techniques and offer a diverse back ground to assist in recovery thru aquatic rehab.
In conjunction with home health service, our rehab staff help patients who are homebound develop the skill to function safely in their homes and progress toward outpatient services. Long Term Care We also work closely with several Saline County nursing facilities in helping their residents achieve and maintain their highest level of independence possible. In the spirit of continued service to the community, The Living Center has recently added a nine bed skilled nursing unit. This unit is served by Fitzgibbon rehab staff, offering all disciplines with a keen focus on training and exercising patient to return to prior level of function and living.
