Pathology

Pathologists help diagnose illness or disease by examining body fluids, tissues and organs. They work at the request of a primary physician and rarely see patients individually.

Grant Van Darkow, M.D.

Education & Qualifications:

Dr. Van Darkow received his B.A. in Biology and medical degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO.  He completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Missouri in Columbia as well. 

He was Chief Resident of the Department of Pathology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO from 1992-1993 and has been a Pathologist with Boyce and Bynum Pathology Professional Services since 1993. 

Dr. Van Darkow is Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology-Anatomic and Clinical.  He is also affiliated with the College of American Pathologists, American Medical Association, Mid-Missouri Pathology Society, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Boone County Medical Society and the Missouri Society of Pathologists.

 

Thomas Bart Shaw, MD

Education & Qualifications:

Dr. Shaw received his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine, Columbia, MO.

He completed his residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Department of Pathology.

Dr. Shaw is Board Certified by the American Board of Pathology-Anatomic and Clinical.
