personnel are committed to providing you with the highest quality of
care possible.

every guest comes to us with a different experience, we strive to
work with you to meet your needs and assure that you have tools you
will need to continue caring for yourself when you return home.
* Choices: We believe that
giving women choices about their health care is very important.
We strongly encourage women to take an active part in considering
their health care options because we want women to feel empowered to
make the best decisions possible for themselves and for their baby.
* Home-Like Surroundings: The
moment you walk through our doors you will notice a difference in
your surroundings from the typical hospital setting. From the
warm, inviting colors to the personal nutrition center and private
rooms, we strive to make your hospital stay seem more like your home
away from home.
* We have four private Labor and
Delivery Rooms that are spacious enough to allow you to move
freely during labor or soak in a warm hydrotherapy tub while
still having all the securities you would expect in a hospital.
* After the birth of your baby, the
new family is given time to begin bonding and encouraged to
"room-in." Your support person is welcome to stay with you
throughout the night and all other visitors are welcome during
regular visiting hours.
* Four additional patient rooms are
available to accommodate surgical and antepartum guests.
These rooms include a private bath and convenient access to the
personal nutrition center.
* Our level I nursery is prepared for
healthy newborns as well as babies who need extra support making
the transition to extra-uterine life. Our nursery staff is
also available if mom needs a little quiet time.
* Education: The staff of the
Women's Center believes that education is the key to helping the new
family get the best start possible. We will provide you with
videos to watch, one-on-one instruction, and hands-on teaching to
assist you with the skills you will need to care for yourself and
you new little one.
* We also provide several pre-natal
classes for those wishing to be best prepared for the changes
ahead.
* Pictures of your new baby:
Before you leave the Women's Center, we will ensure that a picture
of your newborn is taken and that you receive a no-obligation
opportunity to purchase these pictures. So, don't forget to
bring the "going-home" outfit!
(Fitzgibbon Hospital uses Our
365 Club for the baby's first photos. You have the
option of viewing your baby's picture on the online Web Nursery
prior to purchasing any photo package if you choose.)
* A Celebration: The arrival
of a new baby is a time to celebrate and Fitzgibbon Hospital would
like to treat you to a special dinner for two. You and a guest
will select from a menu of special dinner entrees to enjoy and then
relax and indulge.
