The Women’s Center is here for you throughout your pregnancy. Ultrasound is available before birth as well as classes to help you prepare for your baby’s arrival. Expectant parents can receive instruction in childbirth technique as a new experience or as a refresher course. Classes are also available for siblings to make the baby’s arrival a true family affair.     

Because every mother is different and every birth unique, we pay close attention to your special wishes and needs. We’re careful to give you the right blend of privacy and pampering.

You can choose a "rooming-in" arrangement if you wish. Your baby can stay with you in your room while you are awake, and at night if you prefer. If you would like some rest, be assured your infant will be in good hands.                  

Four attractive LDRP rooms, designed for total labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum care, are available at the Women’s Center. Using one of these inviting rooms eliminates the necessity of moving about and lets you relax in a comfortable, home-like setting. In these spacious rooms, grandparents and siblings can visit frequently while others can stop by during visiting hours. There’s even a sofa-bed in your room so your coach can be with you overnight.

Our staff is eager to see that your family gets off to the best possible start. We offer practical help with caring for yourself after delivery as well as bathing, feeding, diapering and caring for your newborn.

The Women’s Center has many useful materials, including video tapes, to share with you. We’re interested in giving you all the information you might need to feel comfortable and confident in your role as a new mother. If you choose to breast-feed, a consultant will instruct you if you need assistance.

• Expect a photo of your newborn.

Before you leave the Women’s Center, we’ll see that a picture is taken of your baby. You will receive ordering information and a no-obligation opportunity to purchase photos.

You and a guest will be treated to a cozy, private dinner-for-two during your hospital stay. You’ll have a chance to toast your new arrival and dine on your choice of special entrees.
