Openings are advertised in the newspapers, or you can check our web site and download an application. Who can apply for a job within the Fitzgibbon organization? Anyone can! Most jobs have a required level of education, experience, skills and abilities which will be listed in the job announcement. Where do I apply and do I have to apply in person? It is not necessary to apply in person. Applications are available in the HRSA office. You may complete an application and leave it with the HRSA secretary or you may take the application with you and complete it later. You may mail or fax the application back to the HRSA. The fax number is (660) 886-2462. What must I include in the application? The completed application must include your legal name, your social security number, the title and the position for which you are applying, and your signature. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. If you need assistance in the application process, please let the HRSA secretary know of your needs and accommodations will be made for you. How many jobs can I apply for with one application? You can apply for as many jobs as there are current openings if you have the qualifications. Do I need a resume? It is not necessary that you provide a resume with your application. There is room on the application for you to list your education and experience. However, a well-drafted, concise, current resume will set forth your history in the manner in which you have chosen. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND THE JOB CODE OF THE POSITION FOR WHICH YOU ARE APPLYING ARE INCLUDED ON YOUR RESUME. Will I be interviewed when I pick-up or drop off my application? No. You will be notified at a later date if you have been chosen for an interview. Who reviews my application and who will interview me? After the closing date for a particular job vacancy announcement, all applications are reviewed by the HR recruiter. Persons who do not meet the minimum requirements are removed from consideration. Qualified applicants are reviewed by the service area which has the vacancy and that department decides who will be interviewed. How long will it take to decide who gets the job? Although there is no set time required to select an applicant, every effort is made to reach a prompt decision. The length of time depends on the number of applications to be screened and the nature of the position. Normally, a decision will be made between 15 and 45 days after the job advertisement has appeared. Do you keep my application "on file" for other jobs which might become vacant? We keep all applications on file for six months. Human Resources: (660) 831-3257 Fax: (660) 831-3318 |
