Hospitalists
The hospitalist is an acute-care
physician who partners with the primary care physician and the hospital
to focus on a patient’s inpatient hospital care from the time of
admission to discharge. These physicians remain in close contact with
the patient’s primary care physicians while managing the entire
inpatient episode of care.

Education & Qualifications:
Dr. Gupta received his medical degree
from the Saint Louis University of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri in
2004. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas. Dr. Gupta completed an internship in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at
the St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Gupta is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric
Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation. He is a member of the
American Medical Association, the Aerospace Academy of Pediatrics, and
the American College of Physicians.
Lorenzo M. Romney, D.O.

Education & Qualifications:
Dr. Romney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Spanish
from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and completed his medical
degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California in
1986. He completed an internship at Tucson General Hospital in Tucson,
Arizona, and completed a residency in Family Practice at the University
of Missouri-Kansas City in January of 2000. Dr. Romney has over 20 years of experience in Family Practice and
Emergency Medicine, having practiced in Arizona, Kansas, Colorado, Utah,
and Missouri. Dr. Romney is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of
Family Medicine and the American Board of Family Practice. His interests include spending time with his family, church, sports and
outdoor activities.
Dr. Craig Simons, D.O. - Hospitalist, Fitzgibbon

Education & Qualifications:
Dr. Simons received his medical degree from the
University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in
Kansas City, Missouri after completing undergraduate studies at
Missouri Western State college in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Dr. Simons completed a residency in Internal Medicine
at the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine in
Kansas City.
