About Fitzgibbon Homemakers and More

  • Is Fitzgibbon Homemakers and More a member of a state or national association representing home care providers, such as the Missouri Alliance for Home Care?  Yes

  • Are the caregivers bonded and insured?  Yes, all caregivers are bonded and insured employees who are fully covered by the organizations workman's comp.

  • Are background screenings, drug screenings, and other screenings done on caregivers?  Yes, caregivers must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and reference checks.  Also they must have a valid MO drivers license and insurance. 

  • Do the caregivers carry photo identification?  Yes, each caregiver will have a photo ID on them at all times. 

  • Will there be an initial in-home evaluation and assessment?  Yes, an RN or LPN will evaluate and assess.

  • Do you have on-call caregivers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?  Yes

Fitzgibbon Homemakers and More has been a contract agency with the Department of Health and Senior Services since 1996.

 

 

One of our courteous staff members visits you and assists with a wide variety of duties, including:

  • laundry

  • grocery shopping

  • housekeeping

  • meal preparation

  • much, much more

We provide nondiscriminatory services to the elderly, physically challenged, and even healthy families on the go.

We want you to experience life to the fullest and enjoy the peace you feel when you are at home.

Personal Care

 

Our representatives are available to assist you with any activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and eating.

 

 

Respite Care

 

Our friendly and professional staff members will act as a companion to you in order to give your caregiver time off to run errands or to attend to personal needs.

 

Advanced Personal Care

 

Fitzgibbon Homemakers and More staff assist with activities of daily living for persons who have complex physical needs.  Care is provided for catheter care, ostomy, colostomy, Range of Motion patients, and many others who need special care and assistance.

 

 

Skilled Nursing Care

 

We offer nursing care for skilled needs such as:

  • diabetic nail and foot care

  • daily or weekly medication organization

  • prescription refills

  • insulin syringe fills

  • assessments

We also provide reports to your physician if your condition requires us to do so.

 

Who Qualifies?

 

Who qualifies and pays for Fitzgibbon Homemakers and More services?

For those who qualify, Medicaid will cover the cost of services.  Eligibility is determined by the Division of Senior Services based on Medicaid criteria.  District III funds may also be available.

The Veteran's Administration and some insurance policies may also cover your expenses if homemaker services are necessary due to health reasons.

In addition, anyone in the community needing assistance or "extra help" around the house can purchase our services on a private-pay basis.  We can assist you on either a long-term or short-term basis, depending on  your needs.
