CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE

Total Raised: $ 3,675,000
Leaving us with a balance of only
$325,000
to reach our goal of $ 4 million.
The Future
Community Cancer Center at Fitzgibbon Hospital
"Every day we think about what we can do to be
better, what we can do better to serve our community," Ron Ott said in the press
release. "Our mission is to improve the health of the community. I see the
oncology center as one more piece in that puzzle."
According to Fred Utlaut, chairman of the board of trustees for Fitzgibbon
Hospital, "the board is deeply committed to the campaign and the role it will
play in realizing our vision for Fitzgibbon.
"We have worked closely with the medical leadership to determine what we need to
do to achieve crucial new progress in the fight against cancer. Launching the
campaign now is the decisive next step in implementing that plan."
Utlaut, in the press release, noted that many people do not realize that
Fitzgibbon is a not-for-profit organization. In the past, he said, capital
improvements were done with little fanfare.
