We would like to say “Thank You” to all who have donated and/or worked hard toward getting all of us closer to the Community Cancer Center becoming a reality. As we have talked with family and friends, acquaintances and others about the new cancer treatment center, many of them have shared stories about how cancer has affected them or their loved ones in one way or another. We have found these stories to be very moving and intensely inspirational. And we have wondered if there might be others out there who would share their stories with the public.

As everyone continues to work on the Community Cancer Center Capital Campaign, we would like to invite each and every everyone who reads these columns to share their experiences, story, and/or journey by sending them or bringing them to the Campaign Office. If you would like, someone from the Cancer Campaign could help you put your words into story form and write the story with you.

These stories will then be placed in a notebook and made available for others to read. This is a remarkable opportunity to encourage and inspire others through your own personal experiences told from the heart.

We encourage you to become an encourager by sharing your stories with others. Cancer knows no boundaries, and we have all been touched in one way or another by this dreaded disease.

Respectfully,

Tom and Kathy Blumhorst
